D. John Neese Jr.

Partner

John Neese is  a native Houstonian, an experienced trial lawyer, and has successfully tried a broad range of lawsuits in state and federal courtrooms throughout the country.

After graduating from the Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas, John attended the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and graduated with honors.  Prior to entering law school, he gained valuable “real world” experience as a small business owner.

John then went on to the University of Houston Law Center where he was honored for his top grades. He was Chief Notes & Comments Editor of the Houston Law Review, and a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barons. Ultimately, John graduated with summa cum laude honors, finishing 3rd in his class of 357 students.

John began his career with Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he tried cases involving issues of commercial, construction, personal injury and real estate law. After four years at V&E, he decided to devote his talents to representing plaintiffs in contingent fee lawsuits. Recovering millions of dollars for his clients, John litigated against a broad array of defendants, including corporations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, insurance companies, transportation/trucking companies, bus companies, and oil companies, among others. In 2012, John joined Hawash Meade Gaston Neese & Cicack LLP as a partner, where he continues his focus on business litigation and personal injury litigation.

John is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for the Top Trial Lawyers in America. Finally, John was recognized by Texas Super Lawyers from 2007-2008 and from 2011-2013.
